Nick was on trial from Barry Town, when he played for Exeter City Reserves against Swansea on the 12th of April 2000. He scored twice in this debut game. He returned to Barry Town.

Nick was born in Waterford and had been on the books of Leeds United and Swindon Town, before joining Barry Town in 1999. He played over 140 games, scoring over 30 goals for Barry, Carmarthen Town, Llanelli and Port Talbot between 1999 and 2006. 
He moved to the USA in 2007 and coached football in Boston, Maine.
