Biographical Text
Alex Burke, recently with Clydebank and best-known for his time at Kilmarnock, played for Exeter City in a pre-season game against Birmingham City in August 2002. Returning to Scotland, he appeared for half-a-dozen clubs including Ross County, St Mirren and Dunfermline Athletic.
Joining Kilmarnock from school and signing professional in 1995, he made around fifty first-team appearances before switching to Falkirk in 2000 followed by a season with Clydebank.
Trying his luck in the English professional game, he was not engaged by Exeter City and had to settle for playing for Berwick Rangers followed by Queen of the South. He then made a south-to-north swap when he joined Ross County.
Subsequently settling back to playing in Scotland's central belt, he appeared for St Mirren, Dunfermerline Athletic and, in 2011, Ayr United.
