Sebastián Grazzini was one of several South American footballers who were given trials at a difficult time in Exeter City's history. He later had a long playing career in Belgium, Italy, United States, Greece and - above all - Argentina before having a higher profile as a coach in both Argentina and Mexico.

Playing in a friendly against Swansea City in January 2003, the 22-year-old Argentine was playing for reserve team of Spanish club Sevilla when he arrived at Exeter City for a short trial a few months before the club's relegation from the Football League in 2003.

With no deal forthcoming, he played in lower divisions in Belgium and Italy before returning to Argentina where his highest-profile club was Newells Old Boys in 2008. Later having a spell in the United States with Chicago Fire, and thereafter briefly playing in Greece, he passed through a succession of clubs in Argentina before turning out again for Central Córdoba, his original club, in 2018.

Becoming a coach and manager, his public profile stepped up a couple of notches when he became caretaker-manager of Racing Club de Avellaneda in 2023 and assistant manager of Monterrey in Mexico the following year.
