Adam Faux, from Seaton in East Devon, played as a trialist in the 9-1 pre-season win at Millbrook in 2003. He later appeared for Clevedon, Taunton and Tiverton before falling victim to a violent assault in Exeter which shortened his playing career.
After appearing for City, he played for Clevedon Town and Taunton Town before signing for Tiverton Town in 2007 where he went on to become club captain and play nearly 150 games in all competitions
He suffered a fractured skull in a violent assault in Exeter in May 2011. The following March he returned to football playing for Tivvy’s reserves against Elmore and eventually regained his place in the first-team for whom he played another twenty times before retiring in 2013.
The Tivvy Archive described Adam's return to playing as "a remarkable recovery that is both humbling and an inspiration to everybody that knows him."
Adam’s brother Alex also played for Tiverton as well as Bridgwater, Taunton and Willand.
