He signed for Exeter City in December 1954, and was virtually an eve present for the rest of the season, after making and scoring on his debut at Crystal Palace.

Out of the side the following season, he asked for a transfer in March 1955, but did feature in ten league matches at the end of the season, scoring one goal. He was placed on the transfer list at his own request in February 1956.

He moved back to South Wales with Newport County in July 1956, but only played 8 league matches for them, scoring once. He then joined Bath City in August 1958 and Weymouth in June 1962.

Following his playing career he went on to manage Bridgewater Town and Glastonbury, respectively.
