Biographical Text
Walter Gerrard, a 20-year-old Scottish forward, spent a week on trial with Exeter City in March 1964. He later played in the Scottish League with Berwick Rangers and Clydebank.
Starting at Dennistoun Waverley in Glasgow, he had been with Barnsley in 1962/63 and was registered as an amateur with East Stirlingshire when he travelled south for a trial with Exeter City.
Playing against Bideford and then scoring against Frome Town in the Western League, his services weren't required and he returned to Scotland.
He later made four league appearances for Berwick Rangers and two for Clydebank during 1966/67 before playing in Hong Kong where he died in March 2014.
