Albert played a trial match for Exeter City in a reserve game against Bristol City away from home in October 2011

Albert  was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, bought up in South London he started as a schoolboy at Arsenal, before moving to the youth academy at Dulwich Hamlet

He was spotted by Wimbledon whilst playing for Dulwich Hamlet in the FA Youth Cup, and was offered a place in the Dons academy, where he played ten games in 2003/04.

In August 2004 he signed for Brighton and Hove Albion. In March 2005 he was on loan at Stevenage, where he made four appearances. He had a further loan spell at Swindon in early 2006.

In the 2005-06 pre-season he was on trial at Watford and signed for them soon after, in February 2007, he was on loan at Boston United, followed by a loan spell at Milton Keynes. He was released by Watford at the end of the season.

He joined Southend United on trial in August 2007, however an injury meant he missed most of the 2007–08 season.

He was on trial at Yeovil in August 2008, He then joined Gillingham, initially on trial, before signing a one-month contract, which was extended until the end of the 2008-09 season. He made 16 appearances for the Gills, before moving to Barnet in July 2009

He signed a three-month contract with Barnet in July 2009, making a total of 51 appearances before he was released in June 2010.

Albert moved to Lincoln City, making 26 appearances for the club in 2010-11. In February 2011, he joined on loan at Aldershot Town. He played four games for them in his month long spell. He left Lincoln in March 2011.

He was on trial for Port Vale in September 2011, and Exeter in October 2011.
In November 2011, he linked up with Lewes and in January 2012, he moved to Bromley later signing a contract until the end of the 2012–13 season.

After two years at Bromley, and 30 appearances, Albert  signed for Sutton United ahead of the 2014/15 season, making just one appearance in the Sutton United first team, he made a return to Dulwich Hamlet, playing 31 times before leaving them in March 2016

In May 2007, he played for Sierra Leone in a friendly against Leyton Orient. He played a further four games for his country, and he earned another cap on 5 September 2010, when he appeared for Sierra Leone in a 1–1 draw with Egypt in a 2012 African Nations Cup.
