Alwyn Thomas, formerly with Newport County and Torquay United, played once for Exeter City in 1929. 

Having appeared for Pontypridd, and as an amateur with Newport County, Alwyn joined Torquay United ahead of the 1927/28 season.

Remaining at Plainmoor for two seasons, he scored twice in fifteen league appearances before moving to Exeter City in the summer of 1929.

Playing against Fulham in the eighth league game of the season on 28 September 1929, Alwayn made no further appearances for the first-team and left the club at the end of the season.
