Wayne Elsey played for Exeter City’s reserves as a trialist against Plymouth Argyle in 1985.

Formerly with Swansea City as a youth player, he had appeared for Wales at under-18 level and was later a football agent working for, amongst others, future Grecian Richard Duffy.
