Exeter-born Jason Came, who later became a scaffolder, played as a defender for Exeter City's youth team in the 1987/88 season and featured in the FA Youth Cup game against Bristol City in November 1987.

He was later plart of the Exmouth Town squad that reached the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup in 1988/89.
