Superstar Profile Jackie Tancock

Age: 23
Height: 5 ft 4 ins
Position: Right-back
Occupation: Microfilm Operator

Jackie celebrated her 100th recorded game against Friends of Fulham in the 4th Round of WFA Cup.
Honours:
3 times Player of the Year, 3 times Runner-up, Western League 'A' and Reg- ional Trials, Best Attendence at Training and Most Improved Player 1978.

This shows that she is one of Exeter's back-bone players. Having been with Exeter from the very start she has matured and become a key player. Her consistent defending has seen us through many sticky patches and her play and experience has continued to bloom from season to season. Jackie has learned to be a very effective overlapping full-back. Unfortunately, as yet Jackie has not been able to finish her attacking moves with a goal, but her after her effort against Cope Chat, which brought off a fine save by the keeper, I am sure it won't be long before she gets on the score sheet. Jackie has played at League level and also attended Regional sessions.

Hobbies: Canoeing, walking squash, sweets and most other sports.
Maybe her one weakness, although maybe I shouldn't say, is her football boots laces. Have you ever had a good look at them? They certainly are different! But seriously, Jackie has played a very important part in the improvement of Exeter Ladies and now gladly she plays alongside very talented players...like herself.

The above is from a programme article in 1982/83 v Barry
