Wilkins (Woods), Naomi
Naomi played for Exeter, as a central defender when they reformed in 2006/07, as part of the club's centre of excellence.
Even as a defender she scored regularly. And continued playing at Exeter as they moved up the leagues.
Naomi was still playing as a central defender for Exeter in 2011/12, when they were promoted to the South West Women's Combination. As well as being a part of the team that earned Exeter City a dramatic 3-2 victory in an enthralling Bristol Soccerworld Cup Final at Taunton in April 2011, where she scored the opening goal against local rivals Plymouth Argyle who were playing two leagues above them.
In early September 2012, Naomi broke both her Tibia and Fibula in the 4-1 win over Gloucester City Ladies.
"Absolutely brilliant at passing through and was really good going forwards."
Joe Helier-Brown 2022.
"Naomi Wilkins and Naomi Woods are the same person. After getting married in the Summer of 2012, Naomi broke her leg in her first formal game as Naomi Woods. Unfortunately due to significance of the break the Doctors advised her not to play again."
Philip Woods May 2024.
