Garcia-Sánchez , Lola
Lola was born in 1990, in Torquay. She played for Exeter, when they reformed in 2006/07, as part of the Club's centre of excellence. She scored four goals in a Cup match against North Prospect on the 8th of October 2006, in a 17-0 win. A prolific goalscorer, she continued to score for Exeter throughout the season.
She left Exeter to play for Cullompton in 2008/09 but re-joined Exeter City in 2011/12, after playing for Cullompton Rangers LFC
Lola scored 40 goals for Cullompton Rangers in the
South West Combination Premier League in 2008/09 as Cullompton won promotion by finishing as Champions.
Playing for Exeter in 2011/12, she continued her scoring with over 20 goals as Exeter won promotion, for the third time in 3 years, this included 10 goals in 4 consecutive games in 21 days from the 28th August 2011. Lola played for Exeter for the next four seasons and continued to score regularly.
In the summer of 2015 she moved to Spain to play and live.
In the 2016/2017 season, Lola moved to Madrid and joined the Sur Getafe team. Her successful season did not go unnoticed as the following season she was signed by Olympic Madrid. In 2018/19 Lola played a total of 19 matches and scored 11 goals.
In August 2019 Alhama CF Femenino in Murcia announced the signing of Lola for a season from Olympic Madrid. They described her as a forward and also as an attacking left winger adding: "Lola is a player known for her ability to shoot with both feet, for her positioning, her nose for scoring and her work ethic”.
On their website her new Club added that Lola “started playing football in England, where she developed as a footballer in the youth academy of one of the most important teams in the south of the country, Exeter City. She made her first team debut in the Premier League SW ".
