Stoneman, Gabby

Gabby played for Exeter, when they reformed in 2006/07. She scored five goals in a Cup match against North Prospect on the 8th of October 2006, in a 17-0 win.

Gabby repeated the feat in 2008/09. As reported on exeweb

"Five goals from Gabby Stoneman helped Exeter City COE thrash Torridgeside 9-0 to go six points clear at the top of the Westward Developments Devon Women's League Division Two. Exeter now have 21 points, six ahead of second-placed Ivybridge Town.

Stoneman beat two players to open Exeter's account after five minutes. Naomi Wilkins doubled their advantage with a solo effort before Stoneman latched onto a Mandy Earle cross to put COE 3-0 ahead.

Emma Jones thumped home Exeter's fourth on 16 minutes and Stoneman completed her hat-trick two minutes later. She bagged her fourth on 20 minutes with a clinical finish to hand Exeter a 6-0 lead.

Earle also got her name on the score-sheet before centre-back Kelly Hall dislocated her right leg on the slippery turf. Emma Mingo replaced her for the second half as Exeter netted one more goal courtesy of Heather Cox.

"Things are going really well in terms of our performances," Exeter COE boss Steve McClear said. "But losing Kelly is a big blow as she's a very good centre-back. Kelly's leg is in a cast and she'll probably be out for eight to 10 weeks."

In November 2009, Tamsin Braund wrote

"The girls and Exeter City Football Club would like to congratulate Gabby Stoneman for reaching the final thirty two of the England College Team selection trials and wish her every success in getting through the final stages in the upcoming weeks! Go for it Gabe!!"
