In September 2023 Nicola was interviewed by Jamie Dyer after she was appointed as player manager at Honiton Town 

"Nicola has played for several big clubs including Exeter City & Plymouth Argyle as part of a long lasting, illustrious career. So I followed up questioning her about how her differentexperiences has helped shaped the transition into management as well as featuring on the field and this is what she told me: “Setting up the team and being player/manager is definitely more stressful than all of my previous years of playing! However, the reward is far greater and seeing the squad develop and what we are achieving as a team means more to me than all of my previous years of playing and success”.
