Biographical Text
Durham-born Bill Storey played a handful of games for Exeter City at the start of the 1937/38 season having signed from Swindon Town. He later played for Gateshead.
Bill played for Washington Colliery prior to signing for Bolton Wanderers in 1934 from where, without playing for the first-team, he moved to Swindon Town in 1935 for whom he made 17 league appearances scoring twice.
Linking up with Exeter City in the summer of 1937, he featured in five of the first seven games scoring against Bristol City and Gillingham. Not featuring for the Grecians in the league thereafter, Bill returned to his native Durham and joined Gateshead where he was to play three Third Division North matches.
