Suominen, Hope

At 16, Hope Suominen, from Pontypridd was picked to play for Arsenal, a central-midfielder she played for Wales at under 17 and under 19s level. In 2007, she won the young player of the year at Cardiff. 

She went to Middle Tennessee University  in the USA, and in 2008, Hope, played 20 games for them.

After returning to the UK, Hope played for Cardiff, at the end 
2016/17, she joined Exeter,  as she moved to a job locally, In 2018/19, Hope moved to Germany as part of her work and returned to Exeter ready for the 2109/20 season.

Hope played 8 games for Exeter in 2017/18 scoring 4 goals and played 8 more games in 2019/20 scoring 3 goals. Hope was one of four candidates for player of the month in October 2020, the club wrote the following “Player of the Match in the FA Cup victory over Swindon and Hope's versatility has been crucial in City's attacking play this month”

After moving to the South Coast, Hope joined Southampton in the Summer of 2022, and made her debut against Exeter on the 4th of September.
