Wakley, Rebecca

Rebecca originally played for Exeter for Exeter Reserves, a team formed by Simon Hayward in June 2003, they played at Sidmouth and were Champions of the Westward Development Womens League Division 1, they stormed the league.

From 2013 to 2016, Rebecca was playing for Yeovil, before joining Torquay and then Plymouth from whom she joined Exeter Women in January 2019.

Becca said she agreed to make the switch to City because of the club's ambition and togetherness.

"I am happy to join Exeter because of the footballing ethos and the ambition of the club," she said. "That was a big pull in me joining as well as the emphasis on team spirit and togetherness. It is something I am really looking forward to being a part of."

Speaking about the new signing joint-manager Clive Watts said: "Becca is a strong, versatile defender who brings a wealth of experience to our squad, having previously played Plymouth, Yeovil and Torquay."

Rebecca played 10 games in defence in 2018/19 and a further 6 games in the curtailed 2019/20.
