Peplow, Nina
"Nannette is just learning football, and is showing plenty of promise. She works hard in training and is learning fast."
-Rod Hawker, October '77 Club newsletter
Ninette's first game for Exeter Ladies Western league side was on New Years Day 1978, when we beat Warminster 2-I here at Wyvern Barracks. Ninette had been playing well for our reserve side and after the Warminster game became a regular first-team member, playing a solid game in defence at right-back. Ninette's experience played a vital part in the Cup-Winning successes of our Under-16 side. She improved with every game to become a consistently dependable back-four player, hard tackling and posessing the perfect timing necessary for first-time clearances and quick interceptions of the ball. Ninette spent last season away from Women's football, so it especially nice to see her back in our squad this season, with none of her old skills having deserted her.
- From a programme article, 14/12/1980.
Nina played for Exeter ladies in the late 70's and early 80's.
Nina played 8 games at the start of the 1980/81 season before leaving Exeter LFC in December 1980, having played 20 times the previous season, including 2 Friendlies.
