Birth Date

Biographical Text
Martin, a goalkeeper formerly with West Ham but by then on a scholarship in Florida, was on trial with Exeter City during the 1995/96 pre-season. During his time with the Grecians he was on the bench for a friendly against his old club.
The majority of his West Ham experience had been with the youth team although he had also played eight reserve games before being released at the age of eighteen in 1994.
Awarded a scholarship at Florida Tech in the United States, he was still hoping for a professional contract back in Britain and also had a try-out for Wolves during the holidays between his first and second years at colege. But, with nothing forthcoming, he completed his time with Florida Tech, stayed on as a goalkeeping coach and was inducted into the college's sporting hall of fame in 2020.
