Australian triallst Neil Wallace played for Exeter City Reserves in the Football League South West Trophy against Bristol City in 1997/98. A right-back from Melbourne, he spent a few days training with the Grecians following a similar arrangement with Plymouth Argyle.

Playing in the Victoria state football for fifteen years, he went into marketing and later became a writer.
