Aaron Griffiths played in a few trial matches for the Grecians at the start of the 2009/10 season. He was described as a utility player who had been released by Aston Villa.  
He was born in London in February 1990, and signed for Aston Villa as a 16 year old in 2006.

The 28 year-old defender came through the ranks at Aston Villa before going on to play more than 200 times for Halesowen Town.
