Alex Melbourne

Alex Melbourne played in a trial match for the Grecians at the start of the 2009/10 season. He was described as a utility player who had been released by Wolverhampton Wanderers.  

Alex was born on the 2nd September 1989, he joined Wolves in 2008.

Perton-based Melbourne, who has played right-back and right midfield, spent time on loan at Blue Square North champions Tamworth this season”

After his trial at Exeter in 2009, he joined A.F.C. Wulfrunians, (a football club based in Castlecroft, Wolverhampton). A year later he moved to play for  Rushall, and in 2011 he signed for Hednesford for the first time, moving on to Chasetown at the end of of 2010/11 season, returning to Rushall and Hednesford again. After nearly two seasons he signed for Stafford Rangers.

Described by Sporting Khalsa FC as “a 
versatile midfielder and defender” he  joined Sporting Khalsa in November 2017 from Hednesford. He played 16 times in the first season he returned for the start of the 2018-19 season, establishing himself as first choice left back making 17 appearances further appearances. He then started a fourth spell with Hednesford, departing in December 2018.
