Stacey, Sarah

Sarah joined Exeter City WFC in July 2021, having previously played for Totnes and Dartington, the Devon FA, Plymouth Argyle and Forest Green Green Rovers. 

The Club wrote the following when Sarah signed for City,

"Sarah was the two goal hero for Buckland Athletic when they won at SJP in 2019, before arriving at Exeter City in the summer of 2021. A strong, physical forward, Sarah has an excellent goalscoring record at National League One Level and was a significant signing for the team. With an ability to score a variety of goals and lead the forward line, Sarah is a huge asset to the options available to the City management."

Sarah said the her footballing highlight was "Playing for England colleges whilst at University.

Sarah scored a hatrick on her debut against Bideford at home, in a pre-season friendly on the 22nd July 2021.

Sarah made her 100th appearance for Exeter WFC on the 13th October 2024 against Cheltenham away, and scored her 100th goal for Exeter on the 3rd November 2024 against Keynsham in WFA Cup 1st Round.

Today’s player spotlight is on Sarah Stacey, Exeter City Women’s prolific striker and a key part of the team’s attacking force!

Position: Striker

Strengths: Clinical finishing, hold-up play, and an incredible eye for goal

Recent Form: Sarah has been in top form, leading the line with her powerful presence and scoring crucial goals for the team.

Sarah has been a standout performer, consistently delivering when Exeter City Women need her most. Whether it’s her ability to find the back of the net or her leadership on the pitch, she continues to be a vital player in the team’s push for success.
