Biographical Text
Samuel Antliff played for Exeter City in the Plymouth and District League before the club turned professional in 1908.
A goalkeeper, who made his debut against the Devon and Cornwall Light Infantry in October 1906, he had previously played for Friernhay and represented Devon.
He played in three matches during 1906/07 and a further five the following season.
1901 census records Samuel Antcliff (alternative spelling) aged 17, apprentice plumber living in Cowick Street, St Thomas. He possibly died in Plymouth in 1952.
