Attwood (A) was a guest player during the 1945-46 season appearing in one match against Torquay United at St James’ Park in the Third Division South Cup (Southern Section) in March 1946.

"Two guest players from Derby County will play for Exeter City against Torquay United at St. James's Park this afternoon. They are Attwood (centre-forward) and Jones (inside-right). Both are regular members of Derby's Central League side, and each has made occasional appearances in the Football League team."
