Biographical Text
Offrande Zanzala joined the Grecians on loan in January 2022 from Barrow until the end of the season. He played in fifteen league games, scoring twice, as City won promotion.
Offrande, whose family left the Democratic Republic of Congo due to the 1999 Civil War, started his career at Derby County but made his league debut whilst on loan with Stevenage in 2016. He had further loan spells at Chester and Accrington before signing for the East Lancashire club permanently in August 2018. Then, after his release from Accrington in 2020, Offrande played for Crewe and Carlisle during 2020/21 before arriving at Barrow in May 2021. Offrande scored three times in nineteen games at Holker Street to bring his overall Football League tally to nineteen with another seven in cup competitions by the time he came to Exeter City in January 2022.
Offrande made a scoring debut against Scunthorpe on 15 January 2022 and although he featured prominently in some games, his overall contribution was diminished by injury. His other goal came against Colchester on Good Friday.
After his spell at St James Park Offrande was released by Barrow and signed for Newport County. His start at Rodney Parade was again plagued by injury but, after an absence, he scored his first goal for the club against Port Vale in December 2022. Making 17 first-team appearances in each of his two seasons in South Wales, he also scored three goals in each campaign before moving on again in the summer of 2024 to join AFC Fylde.
