Karen Rothery played for Exeter LFC in 1983/84, playing her first game against Keynsham in a Western League match on the 9th October 1983.

In 1985/86, Karen scored a hatrick in the friendly against Tamar Valley Pilgrims on the 18th August 1985.

Karen played for Exeter Ladies F.C. in the following season, 1986-87.

In 2022, Karen wrote the folowing about Sarah Pollard. 

"What a Player, was wonderful and best time of my life playing with Exeter Ladies alongside Sarah Pollard and have to say so many other team players."
