ENGLISH CUP-TIE (REPLAYED)
City v Longfleet,
at St. James's Park
Exeter City made three changes in their team for the replay, lining up with:-
Fletcher (goal); Craig and Bulcock (backs); Ambler, Chadwick, and Johnson (halves); White, Watson, McGuigan, Bell, and Copestake (forwards). Longfleet kept the team which had held the City to a draw on Saturday.
Wretched weather prevailed, and kept the crowd away, only just over a thousand people turning up.
The City did just as they liked on their own ground against the amateurs, and were leading 5-1 at the interval, and 10-1 at the finish. Watson scored three goals, McGuigan and Bell two each, Copestake one, Johnson one, and a Longfleet player put the ball through his own goal. E. Brown scored for Longfleet.
