Match 36
Queen’s Park Rangers v ECFC 20th February 1909

THE DEVON SENIOR CUP SECOND ROUND
City Reserves v Argyle Reserves

Saturday, February 20th 1909. SOUTHERN LEAGUE,
QUEEN'S PARK RANGERS v EXETER CITY.

A fast and interesting game in the first half at Park Royal, was marred by woeful finishing, both sides being equally guulty in this respect. There was plenty of powerful kicking, but no finesse. In the second half the Rangers brightened their methods, and were more accurate in their work than Exeter City. Robinson had to make several good saves to keep his goal intact. With twenty minutes of the match remaining Exeter City scored. Bell and Watson dribbled through, Shaw saved Watson's shot, and Bell dashed in to score before the ball could be cleared. The Rangers got back on terms within three minutes, Rogers scoring following a corner taken by Barnes.

Result: Rangers 1 -1 Exeter City

Rangers: Shaw; Macdonald, Fidler; Duff, Morris, Downing; Cannon,Rogers, Grier, Drake, and Barnes.

City: Robinson; Craig, Crelley; Ambier, Chadwick, Wake; Parnell, Watson, Bell, Drain, and White.
