CITY CRASH
Concede Six Goals at Coventry:

This postponed fixture was decided at the Coventry City ground in the early evening, the "Bantams" winning by no less than six clear goals. Following their brilliant display against Crystal Palace two days previously Exeter City were unrecognisable as the same team.
Coventry scored four goals in the first twenty minutes, and led by this score at the interval. Their advantage was increased by Bradley soon after the change-over and close on time Powell scored the sixth goal from a penalty kick.
Coventry: - Evans; Saul, Harrison; Johnson, Bradley, Chaplin;/ Tickle, Warren, Powell, Legge, and Buckle.

Exeter:- Crossthwaite; Atkinson, Jones; Tierney, Ambler, Hartley;
Copestake, Watson, McGuigan, Bell, and Garside.

Friendly Match at Barnstaple.
North Devon v Exeter City 

Exeter City took a fully representative side to Barnstaple, where a friendly match against a team selected from players in they played the North Devon League. The kick-off was delayed until the evening, and a crowd of about 2000 attended.

North Devon:- Heard; Clement, Somerfield; Green, Davie, Dovell; Petter, Somerville, Driscoll, Beckerley, and Hodge.

Exeter City: Crossthwaite; Crelley, Jones; Atkinson, Tierney, Hartley; Copestake, Watson, McGuigan, Bell, and Garside. Referee: Mr H.Lavis, North Devon League.
A record attendance for the Barnstaple ground assembled to see the professionals of Exeter City, and everyone present was delighted with the event. Four goals were registered by the Grecians prior to the interval, and two afterwards. North Devon scored a goal in each half.
Exeter did much as they liked and played exhibition football at quite a fast pace.
Result: City 6, North Devon 2. Scorers: Bell 4, McGuigan 2, for Exeter City. Somerville and Petter for the League.


Plymouth and District League 
Royal Garrison Artillery v City Reserves 
27th April 1910
The Reserves completed their Plymouth and District League fixtures with a match against the R.G.A., played at Exeter by arrangement. The result was a victory for the soldiers by three goals to two.
