LUTON TOWN V EXETER CITY.
Winning the toss at Luton, and having the assistance of a blustery wind behind them during the first half played a big part in Luton's 3-1 success over Exeter City, for the winners gathered all their goals before the interval. Stephenson kicked two of their points and Walker the other. James scored for Exeter in the second half.
Luton:- Naisby; Wightman, Chapman; F.Hawkes, Johnson, R.M.Hawkes; Brown, Walker, Stephenson, Lashbrooke, and Stansfield.
Exeter:- Whittaker (W); Evans, Coates; Duffy, Pratt, Prideaux; Whittaker (E), Watson, James, Kent, and Parnell.
Referee:- Mr H.R.Neale, of London.

At Exeter.
Heavy rain and a driving wind were against a good game. In the first half the City missed several chances. Emerson scored for the soldiers, and at half-time the visitors were a goal up. Goodear equalized early in the second half. Hill gave the visitors the lead again, and Bassett scored for the City soon afterwards.
