Exeter City's 26 year old right winger Stuart Hart has broken his left leg. It occured in the 19th minute when tackled by Renwick the Aldershot full back was the subject of jeers by the City crowd after the incident. There was a lot of scrappy play in generally dull and poor first half and it looked as if the game was going to end in a goalless draw, It was different in the second half, Exeter began pressing hard, but had a scare when Aldershot's inside right Howarth struck a post, Then John Corr scored twice in 8 minutes. Since recovering from a fractured kneecap, Corr has scored four times in three League matches. It was not all one way traffic however, for Aldershot went close on a couple of occasions but fought hard and worked hard, Dermot Curtis got City's third goal with a fine header to clinch a good victory, Stuart Hart is expected to be out of football for about two months, he is the second winger at St James Park this season to have leg in plaster, One pleasing sign for the City directors was the attendance which was over 5,000 to maintain the steady improvement through the St James' Park turnstiles.

Match Summary

A well deserved victory earned through hard work. Our lads never gave up chasing every ball and as a result the
goals came our way in the second half, Johnny Corr hitting the first two and Dermot Curtis adding the third.
