Exeter just cannot afford to throw away home points like this, It was a very result and display following City's point at Luton and their midweek winIt was another poor performance and at times it was shockingThe City seemed to go to pieces after Doncaster Rovers scored, The passing was poor. The City were too slow and the running off the ball was poor, Some may say that the wind and greasy surface did not help, but it was the same for both sides and Doncaster scored, In the second half Alan Banks was off the field for about five minutes for attention to a broken nose, the latest setback for the player who has been plaqued with injury and illness since returning to City from Plymouth Argyle, City had more of the play during the game, but they were ineffective in and around the Doncaster penalty area and never looked like scoring, Doncaster's winning goal came in the 29th minute when their leading scorer Webber shot through a crowd of playersFacts speak for themselves when you consider City have won only one of their last four games at St JamesPark, They are now third from bottom of the Fourth Division,

Match Summary
City made a promising start, but after Keith Webber had shot the visitors into
a surprise lead we faded badly. Alan Banks had the misfortune to break his nose, and with this accident our hopes of making a come-back melted away in a morass of mediocre football.
