LEAGUELINER
Next Saturday the super luxury Leagueliner leaves Exeter for Peter- borough with many City supporters on board. At the time these notes are written there are still a few seats left.
If you wish to travel as a V.I.P. and enjoy first-class meals in both directions there are still a few seats. left in this special section of the train-however there is a supple- ment of £3.50 per passenger cover- ing the cost of meals in both direc- tions inclusive of service charge and V.A.T. The total price in this special section being £7.00. When you consider you are travelling FIRST CLASS, plus meals, and the very special facilities on board Leagueliner, for a trip in excess of 5 hours in each direction-this is a real bargain for an all in price of £7.00. If you do not wish cooked meals, there is a supplement for other facilities on board, but when you consider the first class rail fare being only £3.50 this is a real rail excursion bargain. If you wish to join us, and assuming we still have any seats left, call and see me at "The Near Post" after today's game.

SATURDAY 21st APRIL 1973.
GILES USES HIS HEAD.
PETERBOROUGH UNITED 1. Drewery; Bradley, Duncliffe; Dakes (D), Turner, Carmichael; Heath, Freestone (Russell), Hall, Dakes(K), Robson, EXETER CITY 1, Wilson; Crawford, Balson; Horrin, Giles, Clapham; Neale, Binney (Blain), Banks, Wingate, Gibson,
Scorers Peterborough Turner, Exeter Giles, Attendance 4,593, Exeter City outclassed Peterborough United for most of this match, but were cruelly robbed of victory close to time, Chris Turner grabbed a bit of glory for the Posh when he headed a Bradley free kick past Bob Wilson with four minutes of the game remaining, Early on it was Exeter all the way. Jimmy Giles put them ahead in the 9th minute, heading powerfully into the net from a cross by Alan Banks,
Peterborough almost equalised following a corner, Wilson came off his line but missed the ball, fortunately for Exeter, Campbell Crawford cleared Turner's goalbound header. The home side missed the striking power of the injured John Cozens, brining in 16 year old Keith Dakes to make his League debut. He lacked experience to unlock the City defence, Exeter came under heavy pressure just after the interval, but they were still able to carve out chances for themselves, City were unlucky not to score again after 69 minutes following a one two between Banks and Fred Binney, but Drewery produced a fine save, Binney went off injured 15 minutes from time having sustained a cut above the eye.
