Biographical Text
Aamir Stanford-Daniels, a defender from south London, was a late addition to Exeter City's 2021 intake of trainee/scholars. After loans to Tavistock and Bideford, he appeared for the first-team in the EFL Trophy during 2023/24 before being released at the end of the season.
Joining Exeter City as a scholar/trainee in March 2022, Aamir was a late addition to the 2021 intake and effectively agreed an academy contract through until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Spotted through the London Kinetic Academy, he appeared for the under-18s towards the end of 2021/22 and was in the team that lost to Bideford on penalties in the final of the Devon St Luke’s Bowl in May 2022. Playing in FA Youth Cup ties during 2022/23, he spent part of his first full season with the Grecians on loan at Tavistock Town and later Bideford.
Remaining at the club in 2023/24, Amir appeared for the first-team as a second-half substitute against Reading in the EFL Trophy in September 2023 and continued to feature for the under-18s as a third-year scholar prior to joining Tiverton Town on loan in January 2024. Later returning to St James' Park, Amir was released in the summer of 2024 without being offered a professional contract.
