After spending her youth playing for Moors FC, Emily joined Exeter City in 2016. Having just began studying at Exeter College, the partnership between the College and Exeter City offered an opportunity to join the women's set up. Emily would be ever present in the team during her first two seasons as a Grecian, scoring four times in the 2017/2018 season and, at the suspension of the 2020/2021 season, is closing on a century of appearances in Red and White. The highlight of Emily's career to date was to Captain the 2018/2019 title winning side, a season in which she scored twice before a collarbone break ended her campaign early. Prior to the injury, Emily did feature in the County Cup tie against Buckland Athletic at St James Park, a fixture that saw over 600 in attendance and would prove a wonderful occasion for the women's set up. Emily continues to enjoy her time at Exeter, scoring a hat-trick in an FA Cup tie from her full back position this season, and points to those around her as the main reason for her continued success. “I have made some brilliant friends. The set up at the Club has made it so much easier to improve as a player, receiving consistent coaching from coaches that believe in you as a player. Having the chance to play with experienced players is also vital, it gives younger players a role model to look up to and I hope to follow in their footsteps.” Emily's commitment to Exeter City has seen her play a pivotal role in the team's development in recent years, the leadership she shows in a quiet and humble manner will no doubt assist those that look to impact the team in the same way Emily has done since her arrival in 2016.
